NHL

The NHL has slapped Claude Giroux with a suspension for Game 5 of the Philadelphia Flyers series against the New Jersey Devils for a hit on Dainius Zubrus during last night’s game.

Giroux said following the game that he is not a dirty player and that he had no intention of hitting Zubrus in the head.

The 22-year-old center registered a goal and an assist in last night’s 2-4 loss to the Devils.

This season Giroux tallied 28 goals and 65 assists for 93 points.
