Free Agent QB Vince Young To Work Out For Bills
Free agent quarterback Vince Young will travel to Buffalo for a scheduled workout for the Bills on Wednesday, according to CBS News.
Wednesday will mark Young’s first official workout with a team this offseason since he was not re-signed by the Philadelphia Eagles after completing a one-year contract.
According to a source close to the situation, Young decided to wait until after the draft to start visiting teams to see which ones were still shopping for a quarterback.
If signed by the Bills, Young would be expected to compete against returning quarterback Tyler Thigpen for a backup job. Former Harvard quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, the current starting quarterback, is expected to keep his job this upcoming season. Adding Young to the depth chart could provide another offensive threat as a versatile runner or passer in wildcat formations.
