Stephen Curry And Andrew Bogut Both Will Undergo Ankle Procedures Next Week
Golden State Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Andrew Bogut will both undergo ankle procedures next week, according to CSN Bay Area.
Warriors general manager Larry Riley told CSN Bay Area that that Curry’s arthroscopic procedure will be exploratory.
“The MRIs are conclusive to some degree but not totally conclusive,” Riley said of Curry. “The advice of the doctors is we will know best if we do a scope and take a look at it and see if there’s anything that needs to be done from there.
“Steph did everything he possibly could to try to get ready to play. It’s just recently all of us decided that this would give us the appropriate amount of time that’s needed to take care of that surgery and do everything we can not to compromise next season.”
Bogut’s procedure will be done to clear out loose particles and scar tissue from an earlier injury.
The 27-year-old center was traded to the Nuggets from the Milwaukee Bucks this season, but has not played a single game in a Golden State jersey as of yet. The former No. 1 overall pick has played just 12 games overall this year, averaging 11.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
Curry, 24, played in just 26 games this year. He averaged 14.7 points, and 5.3 assists per game.
