Report: Brandon Jacobs Involved In High-Speed Caravan
New Jersey State Police are investigating complaints that state troopers escorted a high-speed caravan of luxury sports cars to Atlantic City, NJ, reportedly including former New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs, according to the Star-Ledger Report.
Witnesses complained that a group of luxury cars including Porsches, Lamborghinis and Ferraris were driving at extremely high speeds and being escorted by two state troopers with emergency sirens and lights on the Garden State Parkway on March 30.
In an email to ESPNNewYork.com, Justin Schulman, Jacobs’ agent, said his client was part of a group that did drive to Atlantic City on that same day. However, his agent told ESPN that he could not confirm whether Jacobs was part of the high-speed caravan. State Police Lt. Stephen Jones told the Star-Ledger that the complaint is being investigated.
After not being able to agree on a deal to restructure his contract with the Giants, Jacobs signed with the San Francisco 49ers on March 28. In 2011, Jacobs had 152 carries for 571 yards and seven touchdowns.
