Report: Tigers Re-Acquire Zach Miner In Trade With Royals

MLB

Zach Miner broke into the major leagues with the Detroit Tigers in 2006 and gave them four solid years; now, according to Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star, he’s back.

After leaving the Tigers in 2009, Miner missed all of the 2010 season recovering from Tommy John surgery; he then signed a minor-league contract with the Royals on New Year’s Eve in 2010. He pitched in the Royals’ farm system last season.

Miner has a career record of 25-20 and a 4.24 ERA in 157 appearances, 35 of them starts. He made his last appearance in the major leagues on Oct. 6, 2009.
