Former Chicago Bears wide receiver David Terrell has been charged with domestic battery, according to the Associated Press. He is being held on $10,000 bond.
Court documents allege that Terrell grabbed his ex-girlfriend at his high-rise Chicago apartment and threatened to throw her off a balcony. Terrell, 33, appeared in court yesterday and was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery. He’s due back in court on April 30.
Chicago police say the woman checked into a hospital after leaving Terrell’s apartment. Terrell’s attorney declined to comment, saying his client is innocent.
Terrell played for the University of Michigan and was selected by the Bears with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2001 NFL draft. He played five seasons in the NFL.
