Nationals’ Drew Storen Out After Elbow Surgery
Washington Nationals closer, Drew Storen, underwent surgery to remove a bone fragment in his pitching elbow yesterday, according to The Indy Star.
Storen’s agent said that the procedure went well and Storen should make a full recovery after he has gone through rehabilitation. He is currently on the 15-day disabled list.
Last year was Storen’s first full season in the MLB. He saved 43 games going 6-3 with 2.75 ERA.
Washington will use a combination of Brad Lidge and Henry Rodriguez to close out games until Storen returns.
