Report: Kansas RB James Sims Suspended After DUI
Kansas running back James Sims has been suspended for the first three games of the 2012 season after being charged with driving under the influence, according to ESPN.com.
Sims has led the Jayhawks in rushing in each of his first two seasons in Lawrence was released on bail early Sunday morning.
“Every player on our team knows and understands our rules and regulations,” Kansas coach Charlie Weis said in a release, according to the report. “They also know the consequences for violations.”
Sims has rushed for 18 career touchdowns for the Jayhawks.
