Report: Kyle Shanahan Already Teaching Robert Griffin III Redskins’ Offense

NFL

The Washington Redskins may not have the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft later this month, but they remain confident that Robert Griffin III will fall to them in the No. 2 spot in April 26. So confident, in fact, that their offensive coordinator is already meeting regularly with RG3 to teach him the offense. According to Chick Hernandez of Comcast SportsNet:

While the Indianpolis Colts control their own destiny at No. 1 and maintain publicly that they haven’t reached a final decision, the Redskins firmly believe Stanford’s Andrew Luck is a lock to be the first overall pick.

The Redskins traded a bundle of four picks, including this year’s No. 6, to the St. Louis Rams on March 11 to acquire the No. 2. They’ve long been eyeing Griffin, the Baylor product who won the Heisman Trophy last fall, as their franchise quarterback of the future.
