Yankees Sign P Ramon Ortiz To Minor League Deal

The New York Yankees have signed pitcher Ramon Ortiz to a minor league deal, according to multiple reports. Ortiz was recently released by the San Francisco Giants.

In 11 seasons of MLB service, Ortiz has compiled a career record of 86-84.

Ortiz threw just over 33 innings for the Chicago Cubs last season in relief. He had a career-best 16 wins for the then-Anaheim Angels in 2003.
