Mississippi State has chosen Clemson assistant Rick Ray to become the school’s next head basketball coach, according to CBSSports.com. The Bulldogs fired coach Rick Stansbury last week.
Ray spent four years at Purdue before coming to Clemson in 2010, where he was a successful recruiter.
Stansbury spent 14 seasons in Starkville, compiling a record of 293-164. He is the all-time leader in wins at Mississippi State.
