Missouri’s Frank Haith Named AP Coach Of The Year





Missouri head coach Frank Haith has been named the Associated Press’ Coach of the Year after receiving 21 votes from the 65-member panel.
Haith, 46, finished his first year at Missouri with a 30-5 record, a Big 12 Tournament championship and a 2-seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers were upset by 15-seed Norfolk State, 86-84, in their first game.
Haith came to Missouri after seven years as the head coach at Miami, where he compiled a 129-101 overall record.
John Calipari (Kentucky) and Tom Izzo (Michigan State) tied for second place with 10 votes each.
