Dion Waiters Says Goodbye To Syracuse, Will Enter NBA Draft

Uncategorized

Syracuse sophomore Dion Waiters has put the speculation to bed and made it official: He’s leaving the Orange this spring to enter the NBA draft.

Waiters averaged 12.7 points, 2.5 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game for the Orange this season, also shooting 36.0 percent from 3-point range. He helped Syracuse to a 34-3 overall record this season, ending in a 77-70 loss to Ohio State in the Elite Eight on Saturday night.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound shooting guard projects to be a late-first round pick in the draft.
