Report: Rangers Ink Derek Holland to Five-Year, $28.5 Million Deal
The Texas Rangers have signed Derek Holland to a five-year, $28.5 million contract extension, according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News.
Now confirmed: Derek Holland’s deal, as reported by @mlbtraderumors, is $28.5 mm guaranteed with two club options.

Holland, 25, posted a 16-5 record with a 3.95 ERA for the Rangers in 32 starts last season. Prior to the 2009 season, he was named the 31st best prospect in the game by Baseball America.
Holland was originally drafted by the Rangers in the 25th round of the 2006 draft.
