The Jacksonville Jaguars released wide receiver and special teams star Kassim Osgood today, according to a tweet form Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer.

Osgood was due a 2012 base salary of over $2 million, but will now likely settle for a deal worth closer to the league minimum.
The three-time Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection had five receptions for 42 yards last season. He will be 32 this year and has played nine season in the NFL where he has totaled 42 receptions for 730 yards and has scored five touchdowns.
