Athletics OF Jason Pridie Suspended For Violating Minor-League Drug Program
Oakland Athletics outfielder Jason Pridie has been suspended 50 games for violating the minor-league drug program, according to John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Pridie, 28, hit .231 with four home runs and 20 RBIs for the New York Mets last season. He signed a minor-league deal with the Athletics in November and was a non-roster invitee to Spring Training.
Drafted in the second round of the 2002 MLB Draft, Pridie has hit .275 with 82 home runs and 415 RBIs in 10 minor league seasons.
