Mavericks Working With Lamar Odom On Return
Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban, met with forward Lamar Odom on Wednesday and a source close to the situation said he will return in a matter of days, according to ESPN.
Cuban made it clear that the team would give Odom as much time as necessary to work through family matters, which have caused him to miss the past week of practice and games.
“Odom is dealing with issues and like we do with anybody else who’s had personal issues, my job is to help him out and not to comment beyond that. He has to clear things out and that’s what we’re trying to help him do.”
Head coach Rick Carlisle and Cuban have continued to express confidence in Odom and believe that he can be a huge asset in their attempt to repeat as NBA Champions.
“It’s going to work itself out one way or another,” Mavericks guard Jason Kidd said Tuesday of the Odom situation. “We just hope it works itself out soon.”
The two-time NBA Champion spent eight years with the Los Angeles Lakers before being traded to the Dallas Mavericks.
