Michael Jordan suing Chinese company

NBA legend Michael Jordan is suing a Chinese sports- and footwear company for unauthorized use of his name, according to the Associated Press.

Jordan said in a statement that his decision to sue Qiaodan Sports Company Limited “is not about money, it’s about principle and protecting my name.”

The statement also said that Jordan saw it as ”deeply disappointing to see a company build a business off my Chinese name without my permission, use the number 23 and even attempt to use the names of my children.”
