Report: SP Tommy Hanson In Car Accident Early This Morning





Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Tommy Hanson was reportedly involved in a car accident early this morning, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com.
Tommy Hanson was involved in an auto accident around 7 am. He came to the stadium and then chose to go to the hospital for evaluation.

Hanson's accident was a 1-car accident. Blew a tire and bumped his head. They checked for possible concussion. No word yet. #Braves

Hanson reported to the stadium after the accident, according to Bowman, but later left to the hospital to get a more thorough evaluation.
Hanson, 25, is considered one of the top young starting pitchers in baseball. Last season in 22 starts he posted a 11-7 record with a 3.60 ERA. In 130 innings pitched, he struck out 142 batters. Over the course of his three-year career he has posted a 33-22 record with a 3.28 ERA.
