Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Tommy Hanson was reportedly involved in a car accident early this morning, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com.

Hanson reported to the stadium after the accident, according to Bowman, but later left to the hospital to get a more thorough evaluation.

Hanson, 25, is considered one of the top young starting pitchers in baseball. Last season in 22 starts he posted a 11-7 record with a 3.60 ERA. In 130 innings pitched, he struck out 142 batters. Over the course of his three-year career he has posted a 33-22 record with a 3.28 ERA.
