Report: Big East and West Virginia University reach settlement





West Virginia University and the Big East Conference have reached a settlement worth $20 million dollars, according to the Charleston (WV) Daily Mail.
According to the report, West Virginia would pay the conference $11 million, while the Big 12 Conference — where West Virginia is set to compete beginning next fall — will handle the remainder, according to the report.
An official announcement could come as early as Friday, which is when the Big 12 football schedule — including the Mountaineers — is to be revealed.
