Edwin Jackson Received Three-Year Offer From Pirates Before Signing With Nationals
Before signing with the Washington Nationals last week, starting pitcher Edwin Jackson was also offered a three-year deal for around $30 million by the Pittsburgh Pirates, according to Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal’s official twitter account.

Despite Pirates fans’ Twitter campaign centered around the hashtag #ejaxtobucs to convince Jackson to play for Pittsburgh, Jackson accepted the Washingtion Nationals one-year $11 million offer.
Jackson will join the Washington rotation that includes Stephen Strasburg, Gio Gonzalez, and Jordan Zimmerman. Jackson, 28, is 60-60 with a 4.46 ERA in 10 seasons with Tampa Bay, the Dodgers, the White Sox, Arizona, St.Louis and Detroit.
