NBA

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson has been released from a Boston hospital after being treated for a neck infection, according to the Associated Press.

Gibson is suffering from a soft tissue infection that is being treated with antibiotics.

“He’s feeling a lot better,” Scott said, according to the AP. “I do know the Cleveland Clinic (doctors) are going to do more tests to make sure everything is okay. But other than that, we’re just glad he’s okay.”

On the year, Gibson is averaging 7.1 points and 2.7 rebounds per game for the Cavs, who are 8-11 in the early-going.
