Penguins star Sidney Crosby dealing with neck injury
Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby has a soft tissue injury in his neck, according to ESPN.com. He and Penguins owner Mario Lemieux met with a spinal trauma specialist in Philadelphia Monday.
According to the report, there is no evidence of a fracture, but the soft tissue injury could cause neurological problems. Crosby hasn’t played since experiencing concussion-like symptoms in early December.
Doctors say that the injury can cause symptoms similar to those associated with a concussion. The Penguins said Crosby will not play until the symptoms subside.
