Young, 38, last played in the Major Leagues in 2008 when he hit 280/.394/.400 with four home runs in just 50 games for Washington. He later announced his retirement in 2010 due to a constant struggle with weight issues and diabetes.
The two-time All-Star has a .292 career BA with a 683 RBI and 171 homeruns. Young was named the NL Comeback Player of the Year in 2007 when he hit .320/.378/.491 with 13 home runs and 74 RBI for the Nationals.
