The fourth-year guard has quickly emerged as one of the most talented scoring point guards in the league. Last season the 23-year-old averaged 21.9 points and 8.2 assists per game for the up-and-coming Thunder. By locking up Westbrook for five-years, Oklahoma City now have both their starting point guard as well as superstar forward Kevin Durant under team control for the next four seasons.
Through 15 games this season, Westbrook has averaged 20.5 points and 5.5 assists per game. The Thunder are currently 12-3, which is the best record in the Western Conference.
