New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning returned to the practice field Thursday after being forced to leave yesterday’s practice early due to illness, according to ESPN.com.
“Are you kidding me? He’s Eli Manning,” defensive lineman Dave Tollefson told ESPN Wednesday. “They probably have some kind of special virus-killing medicine that only Eli Manning can use. I’d be out for two weeks; he’ll be good [Thursday].”
ESPN reports that in the portion of practice that was made available to the media, Manning looked healthy and comfortable.
Manning, 31, threw for 4,933 yards and 29 touchdowns this season for the Giants. In New York’s two playoff games thus far, Manning has combined to complete 67.7 percent of his passes for 607 yards, six touchdowns and one interception.
