Dre Kirkpatrick Arrested For Possession Of Marijuana

Alabama cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick was arrested Tuesday morning for possession of marijuana, according to a tweet from ESPN’s College Football Live.

#Alabama CB Dre Kirkpatrick cited for marijuana possession Tuesday. Kirkpatrick is the No. 8 player on ESPN Scouts Inc.'s Top 32.

Kirkpatrick announced last week that he would leave Alabama and declare for the 2012 NFL draft. While the Thorpe Award finalist is believed to be one of the top coverage corners in the country, it is also believed that this arrest may hurt his draft status.

Kirkpatrick won two national championships with Alabama in his three years at the school.
