Lakers G Steve Blake day-to-day with rib injury

Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Blake is listed as day-to-day after suffering a costrochaondral fracture, according to the Los Angeles Times. Essentially, Blake injured the cartilage connecting his ribs to his sternum.

Blake was injured in the third quarter of Tuesday’s game with the Phoenix Suns. He left the game and did not return.

In his eighth season and second with Los Angeles, Blake is avering 7.3 points a game and over 24 minutes per outing.
