Report: Orioles Interested In Tommy Hanson

MLB

The Baltimore Orioles are interested in Atlanta Braves starter Tommy Hanson, according to the Baltimore Sun.

It was reported earlier this winter that the Orioles had turned down a potential deal that would have sent All-Star centerfielder Adam Jones to Atlanta in return for starting pitcher Jair Jurrjens and utility man Martin Prado. Jurrjens, 25, was an All-star last season for the Braves and Prado was an All-Star in 2010 for Atlanta, however many consider Hanson to be a better overall talent than both of the players Baltimore was offered.

Hanson, 25, posted a 3.60 ERA in 22 starts for Atlanta last season, while striking out 142 batters in 130 innings pitched.
