Houston Texans offensive tackle Duane Brown felt that the omission of a single Texans offensive lineman from the AFC Pro Bowl team was a “slap in the face,” according to the Houston Chronicle.
“Definitely, it is a slap in the face,” Brown told the paper. “I think we’re one of the best O-lines in the league, and for not one of us to make it says something. We already have a lot to prove, and this just adds to it.”
Two players from the Texans, running back Arian Foster and cornerback Johnathan Joseph were named to the Pro Bowl team.
The Texans’ offensive line helped Foster run for 1224 yards this season, which currently ranks third in the NFL. The line has not only supported the run well this season, but have also supported the team’s strong passing game. Texans starting quarterbacks have only been sacked a total of 30 times this season.
