Chris Bosh: I Can Be The Best Player In The NBA
Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh was the butt of criticism of many NBA fans at times last season when the heavily talented Heat seemed to underperform. The All-Star, considered by many to be the weakest member of the club’s “big three,” which features superstars Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, told Esquire that he thinks he can be the top player not just on his team, but the best in the NBA.
“I still have the element of surprise. They don’t expect me to do what I’m going to do next year, Bosh told Esquire. “I want to be the best player in the NBA. Maybe not this year or the year after next, but one day…”
Last season Bosh, 27, averaged 18.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. His averages were the worst single season output since his second year in the league with the Toronto Raptors. In his last year in Toronto, when he was the focal point of his team’s offense, Bosh averaged 24 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
Bosh is a six-time All-Star and was named to the All-NBA Second Team in 2006-07.
