Report: Two Teams Reach Out To Jeff Fisher About Future Head Coaching Job

NFL

Jeff Fisher has been contacted by at least two teams about becoming their next head coach, a source has told Jason LaCanfora of Nfl.com.

Fisher most recently served as head coach of the Tennessee Titans where he posted a 142-120 record and led the team to the franchise’s lone Super Bowl berth in 1999. Last season he led the Titans to a 6-10 record.

Fisher was the NFL’s longest-tenured head coach when fired by Tennessee last January. Reports at the time indicated that Fisher was let go after a disagreement with ownership about the employment of his son, Brandon, as a member of the coaching staff. Jeff wanted to bring Brandon aboard as a quality control coach, however owner Bud Adams had a strict “no family hires” policy for the Titan’s coaching staff.

Brandon Fisher was later hired as a defensive assistant for the Detroit Lions.
