Skittles Thanks Marshawn Lynch For The Exposure With 24-Month Supply
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch had an impressive game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night, rushing for 148 yards and 2 memorable, tackle-breaking runs for touchdowns. Equally memorable, though, was a sideline shot from the television broadcast showing the 215-pound back downing Skittles candy – a shot that has earned Lynch the gratitude of the candy’s maker, according to Darren Rovell of CNBC.
“Skittles is offering Marshawn Lynch a 24-month free supply & a customized dispenser for his locker for last night’s exposure,” Rovell tweeted Friday morning.
Lynch has celebrated with Skittles since his mother would reward him with the fruit-flavored pellets for touchdowns in high school; in the NFL, according to the New York Times, she reportedly just gives him a bag prior to each game.
