LeBron James: Return To Cleveland Not Impossible

NBA

In an interview with British newspaper, The Gaurdian, Miami Heat star LeBron James would not rule out someday returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“You’ve been quoted as saying it’s not impossible you could play for Cleveland again?
It’s not impossible [smiling]

But unlikely?
It’s not impossible [laughs]. I still love the city. I have so many great memories of all those fans – so it’s not impossible.”

James also told the paper that he apologizes to those who were hurt by the way he chose to announce that he was leaving the Cavaliers to join the Miami Heat in the summer of 2010.

“There is definitely a better way I could have handled it, as far as the whole TV thing is concerned, and the same goes for the build-up to the announcement,” James said. A lot of people were hurt by it – and I definitely apologize to them. At the same time, you should never be afraid to do what you believe in.”

The former NBA Most Valuable Player infamously announced his intention to leave Cleveland on an ESPN special entitled, “The Decision.” He has since drawn great deals of criticism from Cavaliers fans as well as others around the league for embarrassing devoted Cleveland fans on national television.

James was drafted No. 1 overall by the Cavaliers in 2003 and played with the team for seven years before leaving to play with the Miami Heat.
