Jamey Carroll Close To Two-Year Deal With The Twins

Infielder Jamey Carroll is reportedly close to two-year deal worth close to $7 million with the Minnesota Twins, according to a tweet from Sports Illustrated’s John Heyman.

Carroll, 37, just finished a two-year stint with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Last season, Carroll batted .290/.359/.347 and stole 10 bases in 146 games for Los Angeles. The 10-year MLB veteran will look to sure up the Minnesota infield that did not possess a full time presence at shortstop last year.

Throughout his career, Carroll has posted a 162 game average of two home runs, 10 stolen bases, and an average batting line of .278/.356/.348.
