The NFL will review the events surrounding a concussion suffered by San Diego Chargers offensive lineman Kris Dielman, according to the Associated Press. Dielman was concussed during the Chargers’ game with the New York Jets last Sunday.

Dielman was apparently injured with 12 minutes remaining in last Sunday’s game and had trouble maintaining his balance. He was not evaluated until after the game. On the flight back to San Diego, Dielman suffered a seizure.

The Chargers have been scrutinized for their decision to keep Dielman in the game, but San Diego coach Norv Turner believes they acted appropriately.

“Everything was handled extremely well,” Turner said. “All the proper precautions were taken. Kris was evaluated when we landed and all the tests were excellent. We’re fortunate, he’s fortunate and we’re moving on.”
